Our journey started in 2002, when our niece Rachel got diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Since the disease comes from somewhere, her father, my brother, was the next to be tested. His test came back positive for Celiac. Next was our sister who also tested positive, and lastly I, Aunt Kim was tested. We all tested positive to Celiac Disease, which explained a lot !!! All our stomach isssues and many other symptoms for finally explained !!!
We get together often as a family and figured out quickly how to make dinners gluten-free. Desserts were the hardest meal to skip !! I created a gluten-free flour shortly after our diagnosis and started making cookies. My family is full of eager test subjects. Once I perfected Aunt Kims GF flour, I started testing it on friends. Needless to say, my GF treats are a huge success.
